This series – entitled Umwelten, the German term for the world as it is experienced by a particular organism - draws on colour perception, dynamic environment-body-brain sytems and climate change. To quote Dr Louise Barrett: “…an organism’s behaviour is driven by physiological processes (which include cognitive/psychological processes) that reflect the kind of nervous system it possesses, which in turn reflects the kind of body it has, which in turn is influenced by the kind of ecological niche it occupies.”
