Visceralia: Quest for Spheres
Acrylic, spray paint and enamel on canvas on wood board
Wall installation measuring 3 metres wide and 150cm high
An allegorical painting that presents a defence of slow, organic art born from within. The artist using eye, brain and heart in sync applies the ‘guts’ of intuition and bravery to give birth to the perfect work – here represented by the perfect white sphere (as per film maker Andrei Tarkovsky’s notion of the perfect artwork as a self-sufficient sphere).
